New Year 2011 in Jacksonville, Florida. Photos taken from the Acosta Bridge. There were 2 barges in river launching fireworks. One in front of the Landing and the other in front of the Hyatt on the other side of the Main Street bridge. The lights on the Main Street bridge were turned off during the fireworks show. A few other shooters were on the bridge as well. It was nice to have company.
My wife Sue and I originally planned to celebrate the New Year in New Orleans. Thunderstorms in New Orleans caused us to go east instead and we were very glad we did.
